Notes - !NOTES:David Grant's 1902 Voter List entry (Cleveland Co., NC) lists him eligible to vote under the "Grandfather clause" via John G. Grantt (sic) who was eligible in 1867.
That means John G. Grant was either David's father or grandfather. The "Grantt" spelling is interesting.
!NOTES:I have searched for this John G. Grant. There was one in Marlboro Dist., SC who was old enough, but he had no son David with him in 1850 or 1860.
