  !DEED:27 Dec 1751 Augusta Co., VA John and Jean Cathey lately from Ireland sold to Samuel Wallace 300 acres of land on Cathey's Creek of the Shenandoah River in Augusta Co., VA on Dec 27 1751 intending to settle in Carolina. John had come into posession of this land as the oldest brother of William Cathey who died intestate and who had purchased this plot in Beverley Manor Sep 28, 1738. Records of Augusta County, Virginia, Lyman Chalkley, Vol III, p. 302 - Kyle Wear's abstract of same record follows: Augusta Co., VA Deed Bk 4 Page 244.--27th December, 1751. John Cathey and Jaen, lately come from Ireland, now in the County of Augusta, intending to travel and settle in Carolina, to Samuel Wallace, 300 acres. In Beverley Manor, on Cathey's Creek, a middle branch of Shanando, part of 466 acres sold by Beverley to Wm. Cathey, 28th September, 1738, and by death of William (died intestate) descended to John, his oldest brother; corner John Trimble (formerly Wm.
