Lenora Cable
Lenora Stewart Cable, age 94, of Robbinsville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006 at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva.
She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Festus and Mary Carringer Cook. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dillard Cook, Jess Cook, Ray Cook, Roy Cook; sisters, Juanita Stewart, Lorene Cook, Edna Harding and Frances Husteetler. She was also preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Tillman Stewart in March of 1987, and her second husband, Hoyt Cable in March of 1996.
She is survived by her daughters, Nettie Long of Robbinsville, Alowayne Huffstetler of Gastonia; sons, Lester Stewart, Rev. Daniel Stewart, Buster Stewart and Anthony Stewart, all of Robbinsville. She has 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Oct. 26 at Cedar Cliff Baptist Church with the Revs. Mickey Stewart, Tommy Hooper and her son Daniel Stewart officiating. Committal services were held on Friday, Oct. 27 at the Cedar Cliff Baptist Church Cemetery.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
