- !NOTE:Both Mary TURBEVILLE Johnson's Obituary and W.W. SELLERS' "A History of Marion County, SC" state that Samuel and Mary had no children, however, the 1850 shows three children, Mary, Timothy and Frances, who are not listed in 1860. Either all three of these children died in the 1850's or they were actually nieces and nephews instead, either option is possible.
I noticed that Elijah Rogers (c1805) and wife had a Timothy and Frances of similar age with them in 1860, but who were NOT with them back in 1850. It could be the same ones, but I don't know if their surname is Johnson or Rogers or if they are different people. Elijah Rogers did live in the very same area as the Johnsons, and their families intermarried around this time;
