!NOTES:I was unable to find William Henson in 1840, but based upon the birth places of his children (per 1860 census), he should have been listed in Cherokee then. There is a Richard Henson there in 1840, a pretty good age and household match with William. Same person?
* Margaret, wife of William Henson is listed as Indian in 1860 and 1870. Also in 1870 Margaret is two houses from Nathaniel Davis (c1828) (wife Mary Payne).
* Widow Laurena Ruddle was two houses from William Henson in 1860. Mary A. (Thompson) from 1850 was with her, but not Elizabeth Davis. Mary was listed as born in Monroe Co., TN. Laurena was listed as born in Cherokee Co., NC (unlikely), her oldest dau Elizabeth (c1836) in Davidson Co., NC, next one in Cherokee Co., NC ca 1843.
* There is a Jesse Ruddle in Cherokee Co., NC in 1840, his household is a reasonably good match with Laurena's. He was listed next door to a Richard Henson.
* The use of the name Laurena in this family makes me think of Laurena Davis (c1761 VA) who was 20 households away in 1850. Is there a connection or it a coincidence?;
