Notes |
- !PARENTS:John seems to be illegitimate, and his mother seems to be Jane STEWART, 1880 census seems to prove this;
!NOTES:Willa Cooper has shared data with me on this family, including information that the death certificate of John Stewart lists his father as "John Stewart" and his mother as "Jane Millard". The Dillard Stewart family was closely tied to the David Miller family of Haywood Co, NC, as David's wife Cassandra Wallace was a sister of Dillard's wife Sarah Wallace. Perhaps one of the Millers is John's father.
