Notes - !NOTES:Mary "Polly" Stroud in a child of Peter Stroud Jr and Margaret Curtis. The evidence is circumstantial but highly suggestive. Widow Margaret Curtis Stroud lived with Mary and her husband Joshua Curtis in 1838 (per old letter) and with them in 1850 (per census). That does not actually prove that Margaret is Mary's mother, but it is highly likely that she is.
Death Certificate of Mary's daughter Cassie (1836-1918) lists parents as "Joshua Curtis" and "Mary Elizabeth Stroud."
