!FATHER:Family tradition among Wilkie GRANT's descendants say that Wilkie's father was a KEETER from Tennessee, there were numerous associations with the KEETER and GRANT families in Rutherford County, NC, a James KEETER witnessed at least one marriage about the time Wilkey was born, there were numerous male KEETER's of age in Rutherford that could be Wilkie's father, so it is impossible to say which one it is, if we could find out which ones went to Tennessee, that might help;
!MOTHER:Lou GRANT according to descendants. Lou GRANT could be the same as Elizabeth GRANT (1799/1800) who was mother of William C. GRANT and Susan D. GRANT, but I don't think she is the same person, but other evidence seems to make this unlikely.
!GRANDFATHER:Andrew GRANT, suggested by Court record of 1824;
!GRANDMOTHER:Martha MACKEY, Wilkie appears to be in Martha Grant's household in 1840 census;
