!TOMBSTONE:Aquone Cemetery, Macon Co, NC "W.C. GRANT" that is all that is on the stone;
!NOTE:From Keith Grant 04-20-2001:
"You also noted on one of you pages that you had found the gravesite of William C. Grant in the Aquone Cemetery, but you were unable to locate his wife, Eliza C. Totherow Grant. After talking with my dad last night, he told me that she was buried in Burningtown NC, which is either in Macon County or Cherokee County NC. William C Grant was actually transplanted to the Aquone cemetery in 1936 from a graveyard that was completely removed due to the building of the man mad Nantahala Lake (or Lake Aquone if you check it on the map). My Uncle Jim (James) was one of the men that helped to move all of the coffins from this gravesite."
