!NOTES:Father might be Samuel Patterson who was in Rutherford and Buncombe Counties. I have no solid proof that Samuel is the father of Samuel-1805;
!NOTES:Mother might be Elizabeth --- who was an apparent widow on the 1830 census. I don't know for certain if she was Samuel Sr.'s wife, nor if she is Samuel-1805's mother, but someone her age was with Samuel Jr in 1840.;

That the affiant was personally well acquainted with the said Jane PATTERSON for 15 years and that the said Jane PATTERSON died in the County of Cherokee, State of Georgia, on or about the 20th day of January 1867. That the affiant obtained the knowledge of said death by having been present at the time of the sickness and death of the said Jane PATTERSON and waited on her during her sickness until her said death.";
