Bryant Lane made oath that he has often heard his grandmother Nancy Jones say that she allotted her little sorrel ball face mare for her son Robt Jones & he also heard his grandfather Fred Jones say that if Robert came back there will be a good little mare for him what he hears his grandfather say was since the old lady's death.

Before me personally came Mary Lane & made oath that she has often heard her mother Nancy Jones say that she wished her son Robert Jones to have her little sorrel ball face mare & when her mother was no (sic) her death bed her father Frederick Jones asked this deponent if she knew who her mother has elft her mare to & Nicy Jones said to Uncle Robert Jones & this deponent answer & said the mare is yours to do as you please & he said I shall not concern etc.

5 Dec 1826 Robert C. Jones shows that Frederick Jones died --- testate naming Bryant Jones, Thomas U. Jones and James C. Crawford Exors. Only Thomas U. Jones qualified. Frederick bequethed property ... to Robert C. Jones. Thomas U. Jones refuses to admit claim of orator.
In his Will Frederick Jones left property to Mary Lane (wife fo Thomas Lane) who sold their interest to Robert C. Jones; to Stephen Jones, who also sold his interest to Robert C. Jones, and to Frederick Jones.
