- !NOTES:I am not connected to this John Peters. However, since he is oft confused with the son of John & Catherine of Scott Co., VA, I included him to keep them straight. I first thought this John (c1797) was their son because in 1850 he lived next to their daughter Mary/Polly Gabbard. However, it turns out John's wife was a Gabbard, thus probably a sister of Mary's husband;
