HERLONG MULLINS (SC) - Carrie FLOYD HERLONG, 82, died Monday in a Marion (SC) hospital. The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Nichols (Horry County, SC). Mrs. HERLONG was born in Horry County, a daughter of Crossie H. FLOYD and Annie E. SUGGS FLOYD. She was a member of Ariel Baptist Church and attended First Faith Assembly Church. She was the widow of Johnny W. HERLONG. Surviving are six sons, Hoyt HERLONG of Surfside Beach (SC), Harold HERLONG, Robert HERLONG and Danny HERLONG, all of Marion, Jimmy HERLONG of Gastonia, NC, and FLOYD HERLONG of Mullins; two daughters, Janice H. HARRELSON and Shelby H. CAMPBELL, both of Mullins; four brothers, Luther FLOYD of Marion, Harvey FLOYD of Baltimore, Brookie FLOYD of Elizabeth City, NC, and Thurman FLOYD of Knoxville, IA; a sister, Loise BURROUGHS of Marietta, GA; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
