On 12 Oct 1827 Samuel Floyd and Francis Floyd, Q.U. (his brother) witnessed a deed from David P. Newsom of Marion Dist., SC to Thomas Coatsworth Floyd of Robeson Co., NC. I have not been able to identify Thomas C. Floyd. Samuel had a son of that same name, but he was only about 2 years old at this time, so probably not him. (Marion Co., SC Deed Book N, page 16).
