  On 20 Nov 1798 William Watson, Ann Watson (his wife), Elias Ard and John Hinnant witnessed a deed from John Ford to Scacebook Watson for land on Ashpole Swamp. (Marion Co., SC Deed Book C, page 10) On 19 Feb 1799 William Watson of Georgetown Dist, SC, Liberty Co., SC deeded 170 acres to John Ford for ₤360. The land was on Little Pee Dee River including Boatlock Mill Dam. William signed as did his wife Ann. Witnesses were Benamin Harralson and John Newsom.
