"Jan. 18, 1815: Sarah Winfield (age about 40) was granted a sum of 10 pounds per year for maintenance of two bastard children. {This was against Jesse Harper again} Per Duplin County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions. {Betty Winkfield (Elizabeth) is most likely the child of Jesse Harper & Sarah Winkfield per Court of Quarter Session Duplin County records October 19, 1813 and Jan. 18, 1815.}"
