Johnny Carpenter
Johnny Glenn Carpenter, age 74, of the West Fort Hill Community of Robbinsville, passed away, Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Britthaven of Graham.
He was a native of Graham County and the son of the late Floyd and Ardell Mathis Carpenter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda Ann Reagan; grandson, Jerry Mullins; brothers, Woodrow Carpenter, Billy Carpenter, infant Roy Lee Carpenter; sisters, Debra Ann Carpenter, and infant Rose Mary Carpenter.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy Smith Carpenter; son, Johnny Glenn Carpenter Jr. and his wife Joyce of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Ashley Brett Carpenter and Dustin Glenn Carpenter; brother, Clifford Carpenter of Fayetteville; and sisters, Kathleen Rogers, Lois Carpenter, and Jean Long, all of Robbinsville.
Memorial Services and burial will be held at a later date in Fayetteville. The family will be currently receiving friends at Johnny’s home located at 744 West Fort Hill Road in Robbinsville.
Townson-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
