!NOTES:From Boyt Cathey's records:
"(Note: Per Glendon Laws Bennett, data by Miss Della Walker, the three daughters - Ann, Violet and Esther - settled on tract #107 which was then in Bedford County.) This area became part of Marshall Co. in 1836.
Also, in her Jan. 1969 letter to FAC Jr., she says: "I assume the birthdate of 9-14-1735 of George Cathey came from his family Bible. I do not understand the absence of other dates. This Bible was in the possession of John Reed, the husband of Esther Cathey, when they lived in Logan County, KY for a few years.
The grant was 2500 acres - each dau rec'd 833 1/3 A. Ann Cathey & husb Alexander Neill rec'd the tract located near Farmington, which included the large spring. At this time George Jr. was in Missouri."
