Captain Henry Rogers (familiarly called "Captain Tarleton"), a brother of old Dew, married a Miss Thompson, and came over from the Fork about the same time Dew Rogers came, and settled on the Lewis Thompson homestead, his wife's father, and lived and died there some years ago ; he also raised a large family of sons and daughters, and about them the writer knows but little. R. R. Hays, of Dillon, is a grand-son of "Captain Tarleton." ;
