!NOTES:This from Barbara Henry to me Sept 2011 -
... My daughter has been researching John George trying to prove his wife was Jane Cole. She has been in touch with a secretary of St. Nicholas Church in Tillingham and has been checking many original records trying to find more. It seemed to us that if Humphrey was he vicar of a church he would have married his daughter to John George there. However, the records seem to be scattered all over. We did find Martha Cole, a daughter, sho married Richard Hunt, the vicar of several places . One was Acton, near Nantwich. He married Martha near Bradwell-juxta-Mare, Essex. Still looking for date. There is a book "Nine Generations of Coales" which is in the library ... in Dallas and there are 12 pages on Humphrey in the book so she will be going there soon. ... An interesting note: Humphrey Cole is buried in the walls of St. Nicholas Church, Tillingham.
