WILL OF JANE CHEEK TYSON
I Jane Tyson of Moore County, North Carolina aand the State of North
Carolina being in sound mind and memory do make and declare the following as
my last Will and Testament,
First, I give and bequeath to my Grand Daughters, to wit Jane Tyson, Jane
Tyson, Jane Tyson, Jane hopson, Jane Moore and Jane Stinson five dollars
each of my said six Grandaughters above named
Secondly, I give the bed and furniture wheron I now lie to my daughter Jane
Womble and the next best bed and furniture to my daughter Sabra Gilbert,
and the bed with tick and the furniture thereof to my daughter Rebekah
Myrick and the remaining bed ( being a small one) and it's furniture to my
daughter Sarah Stinson and my will is farther that each of the said beds and
furniture to the belonging to be valued by indifferent persons chosen by my
aforesiad Daughters for that purpose and that they who have the best beds
pay as much to the others as will make the value equal to all my four
daughters aforesaid and
Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my daughter Sabra Gilbert the sum of Five
pounds out of my estate .
Forthly, I give and bequeath to my Grandson William Tyson the large Bible
now in my possession and the calf that my cow now has. And as to the
remainder of my property of every kind and description not heretofore named
nor bequeathed my will is that it be equally divided among all my children
being the three children of my son Cornelius, Dec'd or in other words that
it be divided in eleven equal shares one to each of my children to wit,
Sabra Gilbert, Richard Tyson, Benjamin Tyson, Thomas Tyson, Sarah Stinson,
Rebecca Myrick, Aaron Tyson, Jane Womble, and one share to each of Cornelius
children, Jane Hopson, Elizabeth Tyson, and Thomas Tyson, And I hereby
revoke all and every other and former Will or Wills me made herby ratifying
and confirming this as my Last Will and Testament and likewise do appoint
my two sons Benjamin and Aaron Tyson the executors of this my last Will and
Testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of
March 1797 .

I , Jane Tyson do make and declare the following as a Schedule to my last
Will and Testament first in dividing my property among my children and three
Grand Children in said will named that my wearing clothes are excepted it
being my intention that they should be equally or as the may agree among my
four daughters Sabra, Sarah, Rebecca, Jane as nearly as they can to what
they know to be my desire and that they have their equal share with the rest
of my children in the remaining property.
Secondly, I give to my Grandaughter Jane Hopson 3 1/2 yards of Linen and
Cotton besides her equal share of the remaining propery.
Thirdly, I give to my Grandaughter Eliza Tyson, Cornelius daughter a Green
Linen Petticoat besides her equal share as aforesaid.
