I (Marty Grant) am not related to Charles L. Johnson.

This family resided in the town of Conway (or nearby in Conway Township).

Charles L. Johnson was born "1839" (per tombstone) in New Hampshire. I don't know who his parents were, but he does not seem to be related to the other Horry County Johnson families.

Charles L. Johnson married Ellen Cooper (maiden name proven by tombstone) in November 1869 (date per 1870 census) in Horry Co, SC.

They were in Horry for the 1870 census, in the town of Conwayboro (present Conway).
