Scott Co., VA Tax Lists - Hensley

Ruthe Muench and Laura Schreibman both transcribed the early Scott Co., VA Personal Property Tax Lists noting every Hensley. For the most parts their transcriptions are the same but there are some minor differences. They transcribed the lists through 1839.

The "Personal Property" tax lists include every white male over age 16 (or over 21 in some cases), referred to as polls, tithes, tithables, etc. The number of horses, cattle and slaves are also included on some of the lists.

In the table below I'll include the tax list data using the original spellings. The last column will be comments or a link to the web page for that family or person.
