My interest in this family name is limited to Hensleys living prior to 1880. If you are interested in this surname more recent than this then I probably have no data to share at present.

I have not determined the exact nature of my own relationship to the Hensleys of Kentucky. It is almost certain that they are related to mine, but the linkage hasn't been discovered. Most of the Hensleys of Kentucky came from Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.

Kentucky was part of Virginia until 1792. Be sure to visit Hensleys of Virginia also.
