North Carolina My interest in Watsons in North Carolina is strictly in Onslow County and a few nearby counties. This is the southeastern portion of NC.

- Charles Watson received State Land Grant # 4092 on 1 May 1831, 200 acres West Side of Lyon Swamp. (Bladen Co., NC Deed Book 10, page 76). No other records for a Charles Watson in area.
- Edith Watson (c1802-aft 1880) and John Perry (c1790-1870s). In Bladen in 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880. In 1860 they are very near Mary Watson (c1775)

- Katie Watson was listed as the mother of Snowden Carroll on his Death Certificate. His father was Franklin M. Carroll (1845-aft 1900). However, Snowden's brother Isham's Death Certificate lists his mother as Katie Daniels. The Carrolls lived in the Delco community, same as my Watsons. It is also noteworthy that Franklin M. Carroll's wife on the 1870, 1880 and 1900 census was not named Katie or similar. Mr. Carroll was associated with my ancestor Cornelius Davis (whose granddaughter is Mary C. Davis Watson listed below).
